How to sell old friend.tech keys (V1) in 2026
friend.tech V1 keys live in an ownerless contract on Base (its owner is set to 0x0, so nobody can change it). Keys can't be transferred, only bought and sold on the bonding curve, and selling still works for anyone who can sign with the wallet that holds them.
- Keys contract: ownerless, protocol fee 0%, subject fee 5%
- Selling works through sellShares, from the wallet that holds the keys
- The current friend.tech website connects external wallets only (no old social login)
How to withdraw
- Keys
- Call sellShares(sharesSubject, amount) on the keys contract from the wallet that holds them. Selling several keys at once is priced along the curve, so later keys sell for less than the first.
- The last key
- The contract never lets the last key of a subject be sold. If you hold every key of a subject, you can sell all but one.

FAQ
My keys are in the wallet the friend.tech app created for me. Can I sell them?
Only if you can sign with that wallet. The app used Privy embedded wallets; export happened inside the app, and the current friend.tech site connects external wallets only. If you exported the private key earlier, import it into a wallet you control. Never paste a private key into any website, including DeadBags.
Why can't I sell all my keys?
If you hold every key of a subject, the contract keeps the last one: supply must stay above the amount sold.
How much will I get?
The contract's own getSellPriceAfterFee, which includes the 5% subject fee. DeadBags reads it live and simulates the sale from your address.
Is friend.tech V2 / Clubs covered?
Not yet. This page covers V1 keys only.
