How to withdraw from Blast after the bridge closes (Oct 26, 2026)
Blast announced its shutdown on October 2, 2026. The official bridge website works until October 26, 2026. After that, assets remain withdrawable to Ethereum by calling Blast's bridge contracts directly: there is just no website button to press.
- Bridge website (blast.io/bridge): open until October 26, 2026
- Bridge contracts on Ethereum: keep working after that date
- A withdrawal takes about a day: start on Blast, prove on Ethereum after up to ~1 hour, finalize after a 1-day challenge period
How to withdraw
- ETH
- Start on Blast (L2BlastBridge.bridgeETHTo) → wait up to ~1 hour → prove on Ethereum → wait 1 day → finalize: ETH arrives on Ethereum.
- WETH
- Unwrap first (WETH.withdraw on Blast), then withdraw it as ETH. The bridge does not take WETH.
- USDB
- Start on Blast (L2BlastBridge.bridgeERC20To, paid out as DAI) → prove → wait 1 day → finalize → wait up to 1 day for Blast's USD withdrawal queue → claim your DAI (only your address can claim).
- BLAST
- Approve the L2StandardBridge, start the withdrawal with the official L1 BLAST address as the remote token (0x71b9e0FD392713A14FCaB92D9aF7A21F47E3b1Fa), prove, wait 1 day, finalize. A wrong remote token address locks the BLAST forever.

FAQ
Do my funds disappear on October 26?
No. October 26 is the end of the official bridge website. Blast says assets stay withdrawable through its bridge contracts on Ethereum after that date. Doing it before the 26th is simply easier, because the website builds the proofs for you.
Why do I need ETH on Ethereum?
Proving and finalizing happen on Ethereum, so they need Ethereum gas. Anyone can send those two transactions; the funds always go to the address that started the withdrawal. USDB adds a final claim that only your address can send.
My funds are in a smart contract wallet (Safe, multisig). Can I use the bridge website?
No. Blast's guides say contract wallets can't use the bridge website. The contract itself has to call the bridge, and the recipient on Ethereum must be able to receive and move the funds.
My funds are on an exchange like Coinbase, not in my own wallet.
Then the exchange handles the withdrawal and its own rules apply. DeadBags only checks self-custodied addresses.
Does DeadBags touch my funds?
No. Checking is read-only: you paste a public address, nothing is connected or signed. Every withdrawal goes from Blast's contracts straight to your own wallet.
